   Is this backpack coated with any synthetic chemical to provide water resistance? Examples of coatings used on the market for backpacks include: polyurethane, polyvinyl, fluorocarbons, etc.

   I am looking for 2 backpacks, one adult size and one kid-size. Does this backpack also come in kid-size?
